The Renault TRM 180 and TRM 200 (4 × 4) truck series, referred to as the militarised civilian range, was developed from the earlier Renault TRM 150.11 (4 × 4) truck primarily to meet the military requirements of less technically advanced nations for a maintainable logistic vehicle with a reasonable degree of cross-country mobility. Many of the components used on the vehicles are of commercial origin.Bangladesh ordered 275 TRM 180.11 trucks in July 1996 with a follow-on order for a further 200 anticipated. It is not thought this option was exercised. The French Army ordered approximately 150 TRM 200-13 trucks, including a tanker version.
